Working space

The graphic interface makes ColorQ3 easy to operate and user-friendly. The training periods that are required to master all the available functions are very short and should not impact daily workloads.

When the program is started the following application window will appear on your desktop:

The working space can be divided in 5 specific areas dedicated to specific tasks:

Upper toolbar (top)

This is the area where the main functions buttons and the color space selector are grouped. On the right side of the toolbar the instrument calibration status is also displayed.

Color data area (center left)

This is the main working area and is where standard and trial data is compared. Entry fields and color values are grouped in this area in a self-evident configuration.

Color space graphics (center right)

In this area colors are plotted using standard color spaces representations. It is also in this area that PASS/FAIL messages are posted.

List toolbar (below color data)

This is the area where specific buttons are grouped to handle the selection of standards and trials. From this area is also possible to search the trials list for a particular item.

Trials list (bottom)

This is the area where the trials/measures history is stored. All measured colors are listed here, including the selected standard. the list is ordered by date/time with the most recent items located at the top.
